Google Places now allows editing for rejected listings

Yesterday as I was working on some Google Places listing,  I noticed that it had a rejected status.  This is nothing new, as Google Places had been rejecting listings that didn’t meet the quality standards.  I also noticed that Google Places now offered an edit option.  Before, if it was rejected, the listing was blocked and there was no chance of fixing the possible violation to the guidelines.  Google Places also offers a quick link to their guidelines which provides the user a quick read to educate one’s self and edit their blocked listing.

I am in the process of studying and discovering what made Google reject my current listings.  I will update this blog when I find out.  I also noticed that Google changed their dashboard look to include an alert section.

what is your domain name matches the new of your business? I mean if you have a business called Judy’s House Cleaning and you have a domain judyscleaning.com, Google rejects it. If you buy a domain name judyshousecleaning.com, will they accept it then? I am wondering if they look at the domain name in you have your business name? I know that people add extra catchy words because it helps link placement and adds to top of your listing as well. But I think if you use a catchy title, if you use a domain that matches that title you place on there, I am assuming it is ok? Like Joespizzasservicedowntownboston.com like on the title for example Joes Pizza’s Services Down Town. See what I mean? Let me know , thanks
