Answers to your Customer Service Questions
At LocalSplash.com, we pride ourselves on providing the best in customer service.
We have put together the following list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help you better understand how Local Splash works and how we can help you and your business.
FAQs:
What does my service pay for?
There are many important components that make up your service package, including:
- Listing your website or business on over 35 search engines.
- Providing you with a sponsored ad (also called a “sponsored listing”), organic listing (also called “natural” listing), and local listing (maps sections).
- Continuously maintaining, verifying, updating, and submitting your business information to a wide selection of websites, directories and search engines.
- Social networking to create a “buzz” about your business and send more customers your way.
What are the Account Set-Up Time Lines?
We first gather your information, create and organize your account, enter your information into our system, then optimize your information for the best possible results. Then we submit it to the search engines and websites that will benefit you the most. This is done according to the following timeline:
Once we collect your information, your business will be placed online based on the following time line:
- Sponsored ads take up to 5 business days to implement
- Maps/Local listings take 7 to 10 business days
- An organic/natural listing can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks
How do I look at my account on the internet (also called client login)?
Go to www.localsplash.com. Click on “log in.” Enter your username and password (the default password is befound, until you reset it), then click “submit.” In the client log in, you may review your business information and see your listings and their ranking. [Note: your home page says “Sign In” rather than log in. You should probably choose one term or the other].
If you have forgotten your username and/or password, please call client services. Our team of specialists will be more than happy to assist you.
How Often Do People Really Get on the First Page?
We implement a set of proven techniques for local search engine placement (LSEP) and search engine optimization (SEO). Our proprietary system gets results for thousands of businesses, year after year.
Over 89% of our clients appear on the first page of search results for their business. We continually add specific keywords and phrases to improve your exposure. We can not guarantee however, all keywords and keyword phrases will be on the first page.
What Does My Set-Up Fee Pay For?
Set-up fees include gathering your information, organizing your account, submitting your information into our proprietary system, optimizing your information, then sending it to the appropriate search engines and websites.
What is a Sponsored Listing?
Sponsored links (or Sponsored Ads) are paid ads that appear on the search result pages of search engines. If a internet user submits a search query (keyword or phrase), the sponsored ads that are relevant for that keyword are displayed. These adds appear at or near the top of the right-hand column on at the very top of the search result page.
The best known example of a sponsored ad is Google Adwords. Local Splash exclusively uses Adwords for its sponsored listings. This type of advertising uses a pay for performance model (PPC) where you get advertising when people click on your ad (sending traffic to your website or business). Only plans of $199 and higher include Adwords. You can increase, to any amount, the AdWords that are being spent on your account.
What is an Organic Listing?
An organic listing, also known as “natural” listing, is a search listing found on a Search Engine Results Page (SERP). These listings are provided by a search engine and are a direct result of a keyword query. Unlike paid ads, an organic listing appears for free. Search engines use web crawlers to find, index, and rank information on the web. The order in which search results are displayed is based on relevancy according to that engine’s algorithm. Natural listings are found on the left side of the page, under the maps section.
What is a Maps or Local Listing?
Maps (also called local) listings are a great way to offer you product or services to local customers. Local listings appear on the top of a search query (results page) and usually extend up to a 50 mile radius. The results are based on a geographic reference (such as a city name, state, or other locale) the customer enters. For example: “Dog sitters Seattle WA.”
How am I Billed for the Service?
Your account is billed monthly. We automatically charge the credit or debit card we have on file. Quarterly invoicing is available for clients (a request must be made to client services).
Our Clients Come First!
Our clients are the number one priority at Local Splash. If you have any questions or are unclear about your options, please feel free to contact customer services.
